Our Story
GoPrep was founded in 2017 by Danny Ali and Mike Soldano. We are Brooklyn high school buddies and business partners in our previous venture My Quick Startup – a web design & Internet marketing company. We are proud to say GoPrep is the first software on the market designed for the meal prep delivery model. Working tirelessly day and night for years, we continuously developed the software to be as user friendly and feature rich as possible, catering to all sorts of requests and meal prep business models.
We turned down investors and outside entities as we wanted to remain in control and prioritize good relationships, a strong support system, and always trying our best to do the right thing by our customers. We value honesty and integrity most. We don’t make up statistics or show fake press mentions on our website. We aren’t corporate. We are regular authentic people working on our computers and phones and trying to serve new and existing meal prep companies as best as we can.
Best of all, we wake up with passion & purpose every day knowing we are helping facilitate the growth of the meal prep industry – one that advocates health in an otherwise unhealthy world. We’ll continue growing while doing everything we can to help your company as well as the entire industry grow promoting health & happiness to as many people as possible.
Meet Our Team
Danny Ali
Co-founder and Head of Sales
Danny, a Brooklyn native, spent over a decade managing his family’s catering business, learning firsthand what it takes to build a successful food company. Cofounding GoPrep with Mike became Danny’s way of giving back to the industry he loves, providing other business owners with the tools they need to grow and succeed. Danny boasts no prior sales training, and instead relies on his widespread industry knowledge and refreshing honesty to build strong relationships with every business owner he meets. Outside of GoPrep, Danny enjoys football, Sunday pasta, video games with friends, and quality time with his girlfriend Brooke and dog Luna.
Mike Soldano
Co-founder and Head of Development
Mike, a Brooklyn native and Manhattan resident, is equipped with an entrepreneurial mind that is always running at full speed. Very early on, he quit his job and started My Quick Startup – the predecessor to GoPrep – and has been helping people using his problem solving skills and business experience ever since. Working for GoPrep is his dream job as it combines his passion for coding with promoting a healthy lifestyle via nutritious meals. When he is not coding for GoPrep, Mike enjoys Brazilian jiu jitsu, lifting weights, running, yoga, reading, salsa dancing, and experiencing the hustle and bustle of living in New York City.
Victor Bellera
Head of Support
Victor, a Venezuelan with a passion for technology and teaching, went from being a lab assistant and physics instructor, to navigating the tech startup scene. His positive energy, technical background, and genuine desire to help others made him the perfect fit for GoPrep who was in need of a solid customer facing support specialist. In his free time he finds joy in playing instruments like the guitar and the traditional Venezuelan “Cuatro”, playing video games, learning languages, enjoying good food and going to the gym. Victor is fluent in both Spanish and English, with a touch of French.
Ahsan Naveed
Head of IT
Ahsan, a computer science grad living in Lahore, Pakistan, has been working with Mike and Danny for over a decade. His problem solving skills combined with his advanced experience in IT and development make him a reliable and dependable team member helping build out new features and getting the team out of a pinch when needed. When he’s not glued to the screen, he’s out exploring Lahore’s lively streets with his amazing wife and adorable 2-year-old daughter. He enjoys balancing tech, family, and a good game of cricket whenever he can.
